Br. Jacob Appointed Judge of Metropolitan Tribunal
Br. Jacob George has been appointed as a Judge of the Tribunal of the Archdiocese of Washington, and began working there on 4 August 2026. The appointment was conferred by Rev. Msgr. Charles Antonicelli, Judicial Vicar of the Archdiocese by special mandate of the Cardinal Archbishop Robert McElroy.
The Metropolitan Tribunal serves as the ecclesiastical court of the Archdiocese of Washington and addresses matters concerning canon law within the Church.
Br. Jacob recently completed his Licentiate in Canon Law (J.C.L.) at the Catholic University of America in May 2026., and is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Canon Law (J.C.D.).
He lives and exercises priestly ministry at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Washington, D.C..
